I back in 2004 or 2005 first encountered this “Universalist theology”, and rejected it instantly, and separated myself from the person’s who were promoting this devilish lie, without any real searching out why it is such a dangerous falsehood.
However, just this past week, while I was doing some research on an author, whose books I have in my possession, I ran across a web-site (IWWB) (IsWasandWillBe) founded by Mike Vinson, that did favor this author. And I read some of their other teaching articles, which I agreed with, due to them confirming what I have written about in this blog.
Well…. they had listed various persons throughout differing countries who were considered “Elders”, and I found one in Canada, so I reached out and had a very nice talk with this “elder”, during the course of our conversation, he informed me they were “Universalist”, and that Satan and all humanity will eventually be saved. I had an immediate reaction because I never heard that Satan would be saved, it was a RED FLAG moment, and I stated so, that I did not believe in that teaching, nor could I move ahead without studying the Lord’s word, and “testing the spirits” as it were. He totally agreed with that decision, so for two weeks I was able to attend about 4 or 5 online meetings, where I was warmly greeted and accepted. During the time I prayed and asked the Lord to keep me guarded, and to grant me discernment, but I did do my due diligence to “search out all things” regarding this “Universalist doctrine”, and I am glad I did, because now I’ve come to understand why this teaching and belief-ism is such a lie against the truth of our Lord’s Doctrine. Once I understood, without a shadow of doubt according to the Lord’s word and guidance by the Holy Spirit that this was a lie from Satan himself, I disassociated myself from this group, and informed the elder in Canada why I was doing so, giving him scripture to support my decision. I will write about this group, IWWB, and it’s leader “Mike Vinson”,(which is a cult) in another article, Lord willing.
I am going to first state where this “doctrine” did originate from, and it started back in the 2nd & 4th century by two men Origen and Gregory of Nysaa. Origen teachings, whom I was introduced to back in the cult I was a member of some 43 years ago, I have come to understand he is known as a “Gnostic”. The other man “Gregory of Nyssa” I had never heard of him. But what I’ve learned about these two and their belief’s are straight from the same belief system that influenced the present day Babylonian Roman Catholic Church.
Historical Background: Neither of these men were truly Born-again believer’s as you will see by the info given with the links provided to back up this assertion:
Origen: Some of his belief’s were as follows:

- Preexistence of souls

He also had various “influences”: Clement of Alexandria, Hippolytus of Rome and Plato which were actually “catholic and pagan philosophical belief-isms” I suggest you check this all out for yourself.

Now I present to you the information on Gregory of Nysaa via Wikipedia, in order to save space I will place the link below for you to search for yourself. I would however state ” His family was aristocratic and Christian—according to Gregory of Nazianzus,” He was also vested as a bishop of Nyssa, Cappadocia, from 372 to 376 and from 378 until his death. He is venerated as a saint in Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, Oriental Orthodoxy, Anglicanism, and Lutheranism. Gregory, his elder brother Basil of Caesarea, and their friend Gregory of Nazianzus are collectively known as the Cappadocian Fathers. As you can see, this man was from the Constantine era, and therefore not a true believer of Jesus Christ. He was part of the Harlot system of the RCC.
God’s word informs us that: Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Now that I have given well documented historical background on where this devilish doctrine did stem from, I would like to present how these Universalist use scriptures out of context to support their deceitful and blasphemous doctrine.

The only one who is “alluding” is Mike Vinson, through his fallen and sinful fleshly reasoning mind, because it is very clear when read in full context in this chapter and the whole Epistle from Paul, he is talking that the Lord will and is ALL in ALL to the Body of Christ, His Bride, the Church, true believer’s as Paul wrote in the verses prior to Eph 1:17!
Eph 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
Eph 1:2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Now in that last statement “All principality…and every name is named” MV add’s “included” then inserting Eph 2:2 in part to support this deception.
Let’s see what Eph 2:2 within context is saying:
Eph 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Again the whole chapter of Eph 2 is Paul admonishing and informing them of the Grace of God and His Mercy in their salvation! He is not in any manner “alluding” to the restoration of Satan and humanity whatsoever in this context or in Colossians as MV stipulates:
Col 1:16 For by him [Christ] were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Col 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Now in response to MV’s utilization of Col 1:16, these scriptures inform us what Paul is saying, so please do your own reading of them:

What I find very interesting in Col 1:20, MV desires you to take note of those words which he has made BOLD, while, in a manipulative manner, he wants you to skip the the words, “And, having made peace through the blood of His cross”. You see, we need to ask, why did Jesus Shed His blood, and for whom? Jesus shed His blood for the remission of sins, for Mankind in the world, of every age. And to destroy the works of the devil and death. Now ask yourself, was Satan a human in the flesh or a spirit? Did Jesus not state that Satan was the author of all sin? So did Jesus die for the sins of Satan? It is not found anywhere in scripture Old or New. Satan’s kingdom represents everything that is tantamount to evil and every wickedness under heaven. While the Lord Jesus Christ’s kingdom is tantamount to everything that is Righteous, True, Just and Holy in His Judgement against evil. And because of, His Death, His Blood, and His Resurrection, God the Father has given Him power over all, for the Good of His Children within the Body of Christ, and His restoration of all things in Heaven and the created earth! Satan and his demon’s and all who follow him are not covered by His Blood, either now living nor anyone presently dwelling in death, being dead physically.
MV continues on with his blasphemous spewing of lies in the following scriptures to endorse his belief’s, by taking them out of context and twisting them to support this deceitful and heretical lie: Here are his words “Satan is “the prince of the power of the air” and “the god of this world”, this age.” Here are the scriptures he gives to support that Satan is included in salvation, and take note on how he, again, makes BOLD the words which “proves” his understanding of the scriptures:
2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Now here is his explanation of what these words are stating: “As such Satan, too, and his entire kingdom are included in “all things… whether they be in earth or in heaven” which are being reconciled to Christ and His Father.” I do hope you can see how wicked the twisting of these scriptures leads to lies and deception in every form.
Now for the unbelievable teaching which Mike Vinson supports and teaches, he believes that every “true disciple of Christ” has the “son of perdition” within him, and that this “son of Perdition” needs to be quashed! Here are his words, and the scriptures which he think’s supports this abominable heresy! “The son of perdition is in every person. The new man is born through him.” Can you believe this?!!! Now here are the scriptures he gives to support this:
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. He continues on to state: “We are the temple in which the man of sin sits (vs 4 above).” The scripture he gives to justify this wicked belief is: 1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? So you see Mike Vinson is interpreting this scripture and his understanding of the Book of Revelation by “Spiritualizing” it instead of it being interpreted in the literal sense. MV believes that the “man of sin” can and will try to take precedent over Disciples of Christ within their hearts, and that a believer must overcome this Anti-Christ within their own hearts!
When we read the scriptures given 2Thess 2:3 & 4, Paul is writing concerning a “real human” why because a false teaching was circulating amongst the Thessalonian brethren as we read here from: 2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2Th 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Now let us read the rest of this chapter in context, then we shall understand that Paul is writing about things that were to come, because that “Great falling away” was to happen in the future.
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

I do hope you will search out and read all for yourselves, so that we are firmly planted in the Truth of the Lord’s Word and by the working Power of the Holy Spirit, we will NOT be moved from the sure foundation of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Apostles.
Because what this evil and wicked teaching is actually doing, it is trying to make people think that “if” God is so loving how could He allow persons who don’t believe in Him, suffer such painful eternal deaths in Hell? That is not fair, how is that Just, if He is such a loving God? This teaching makes one “Question” the Holy, Righteousness of God and His True Justice against those that work wickedness and sin. This is an accusation that comes straight from the mouth of the author of all lies, murder, deception and every evil under the sun! Satan is not just the accuser of the brethren, but he is also the accuser of God and His Righteousness!
I will end this with these words from Paul’s epistle Ephesians 5:
Eph 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Eph 5:7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
Eph 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
Eph 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
Eph 5:10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Eph 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Eph 5:12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
Eph 5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
